  EVALUATION CRITERIA
Submissions will be evaluated by a jury panel on the following criteria:
 
     
  Architecture  
 
•  Architectural character
•  Design & structural innovation
•  Environmental friendliness and resource optimization
•  Adaptation of technology to meet the design/social intent
•  Design response to the client's brief and intended agenda
•  Design response to the specific site and its surroundings
•  Success of the project in consolidating/altering the company's/corporation's image
 
     
  Interiors  
 
•  Design innovation
•  Environmental friendliness and resource optimization
•  Design response to the client's brief and intended agenda
•  Interactivity of spaces
•  The comfort factor for users
•  Lighting strategies, both natural and artificial
 
     
 
TERMS & CONDITIONS
 
     
  Eligibility  
 
•  Participation is open to anyone involved with the physical design of buildings and interior spaces.
•  Entry in all categories, is open only to projects completed in the calendar year 2008 (completed between Jan 1st,2008- Dec 31st,    2008)
 
     
  Fees  
  •  There are no participation fees.  
     
  Number of permissible entries  
  •  A design firm/individual may not submit more than THREE entries. A single project may be entered into more than one category. In this    case, each instance of submission will be treated as a separate entry.  
     
  Submission guidelines  
 
•  Each submission must have a separate entry form (photocopies of the entry form are permitted). Complete the form clearly and
    enclose it in a sealed envelope attached to one board.
•  Each entry should be mounted on not more than two A1-sized boards, and must include plates (in colour) with drawings,
   photographs and a short textual description (word limit: as per individual discretion).
•  All entries should be accompanied by a CD carrying a digital version of the plates; photographs used in the plates, separately, in 300
    dpi (6" x 8" at least); and a brief written description (maximum 800 words) in Microsoft Word format. The 800-word description must
    also be printed on A4-sized paper (preferably Bond paper). All text must be in English (Arial; font size 12), and should be proofread for
    spelling, grammar and facts.
 
     
 

Each entry also needs to be accompanied by 3D Fly By/ Walk By.
•  Incomplete work, videos, transparencies, models, prototypes will NOT be accepted. Entrants can identify the category of submission.     However, the jury can revise the category, at its discretion.

Anonymity
To ensure anonymity in judging, no names of entrants or collaborating parties may appear on any part of the board. On receipt, each board and entry form will be allocated a number, for identification purposes. For security reasons, you are advised to include a telephone number on the back of the board. Submitted entries will be subject to a blind review and deliberation by the final jury. Only after the jury has made its decision will the identity of the winners be revealed.

Deadline
The last date for receipt of entries is 15 November 2009. To ensure timely receipt, we recommend using a courier that guarantees delivery. Entries should be properly packaged and clearly marked 'Architecture & Interior Design Segment' CNBC AWAAZ CRISILReal Estate Awards' on the outside.

Please ensure that entries are delivered on or before the closing date.

Your entry must be marked 'no commercial value' on any courier documentation. CNBC AWAAZ CRISIL Real Estate Awards will NOT accept any courier charges or taxes resulting from delivery.

Personal deliveries to the editorial office will be accepted during working hours (9:00 am to 5:30 pm, except Saturdays and Sundays). ENTRIES WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

The CNBC AWAAZ CRISIL Real Estate Awards assume no liability for loss or damage of entries.

Please note
Jury decisions will be based solely on the materials submitted. No field trips are planned. Winners will be announced in November 2009.

CNBC AWAAZ will have the right to reproduce submitted materials in whole or part without payment of copyright (where we are made aware of their names, photographers will be acknowledged).
